About Caddywack
Caddywack is an arcade driving game that treats taxi missions as an excuse to chain drifts, aerial stunts and wall bounces into scoring combos, launching on PC on July 15, 2026. Rather than treating passengers as a narrative wrapper, the game uses fare pickups as anchors for skill-based routing through a compact city designed around momentum and flow.
Trick-Chaining Taxi Arcade
The core loop locks you into a passenger mission, but the route and how you reach the destination is pure player choice. Accept the job, then layer boost management, drift angles, and ramp timing to string together multiplier chains before the clock runs out. The trick-scoring system borrows directly from skateboard arcades—aerial tricks, wall grinds, and mid-air direction changes feed a running combo counter that only resets on collision or when you deliver the passenger. Speed is essential, but maintaining a combo through tight streets rewards precision and line-reading over pure acceleration.
This hybrid design creates tension between efficiency and expression. A straight line to the destination clears the mission fast but wastes multiplier potential. Instead, players learn that weaving through traffic, hitting optional ramps, and stringing drifts together extends both the clock pressure and the score. The open world is intentionally compact, densely packed with shortcuts, trick opportunities and district variations, rather than sprawling—the game assumes you will replay the same routes to optimize your line.
Score Chasing and Replayability
Caddywack does not chase narrative or progression through unlocks. The entire game pivots on moment-to-moment skill expression and high-score mastery. A responsive control scheme and tight feedback on drifts, boosts and tricks are make-or-break for this design to work. Whether Tanssem Studio can keep the feedback loop tight and the route optimization genuinely rewarding across dozens of replays is the question that determines whether Caddywack stays engaging or becomes repetitive after a few hours.
This is a pure arcade experience built for players who find flow in skill-based repetition—think Tony Hawk's Pro Skater married to Crazy Taxi, but filtered through a commitment to trick-combo depth over story or progression systems. Skip it if you expect narrative, character growth, or unlocks to carry playtime. Wishlist it if you loved the high-score chase of classic arcade games or the trick-chaining focus of skateboard sims.
